Acceptable Use Policy
What you can and can't do with Velogics. Last updated: May 28, 2026.
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of the Velogics platform and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension, throttling, or termination per §16 of the Terms. Where law requires faster action — for example to comply with a carrier suspension or to stop ongoing TCPA exposure — we may act immediately and explain after.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not use Velogics to send, host, generate, or facilitate content that:
- Is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or violates a third party's rights (including IP, privacy, or publicity rights).
- Harasses, threatens, defames, or incites violence against any person or group, or is hate speech directed at protected characteristics.
- Is sexually explicit, depicts minors in any sexualised manner, or is otherwise prohibited under child-safety law.
- Promotes self-harm, eating disorders, or drug abuse.
- Constitutes confidential information (medical, financial, government-classified) that you do not have authority to share.
- Contains malicious code, phishing payloads, or links to known-malicious destinations.
3. Prohibited Verticals
Velogics does not currently support the following businesses or use cases on self-serve plans. Some may be considered case-by-case under a signed enterprise agreement; email admin@velogics.ai before signing up.
- Adult content, escort services, or sex work.
- Gambling, sweepstakes, or fantasy sports promotions to consumers.
- Cannabis, kratom, CBD, vape, e-cigarettes, and other restricted substances (especially over SMS — SHAFT rules apply).
- Firearms, ammunition, weapons.
- Payday lending, debt collection, debt settlement, or high-cost short-term credit.
- Cryptocurrency promotions, ICOs, token sales, or get-rich-quick schemes.
- Multi-level marketing recruitment to consumers.
- Political campaign messaging without express prior approval, proper registration, and compliance vetting.
- Any use that triggers consistent carrier-level filtering or platform suspension upstream.
4. Voice (AI Receptionist and AI Sales Rep)
- You must ensure the call-opening announcement complies with applicable recording-consent law (including U.S. two-party-consent states and equivalent foreign laws). Don't shorten or disable the announcement below the legal requirement.
- Outbound (Sales Rep): obtain and document prior express written consent before contacting any number for a marketing purpose. Honour the federal Do-Not-Call Registry and any applicable state DNC lists. Respect the 8am–9pm calling-hour window in the called party's local time zone. Don't use prerecorded messages without proper consent and disclosures.
- Register your calling numbers and business identity accurately. Don't spoof caller ID or misrepresent the calling business.
- Don't use outbound voice to harass, dial the same number repeatedly after a clear refusal, or evade DNC lists by call-cycling.
5. Email (AI Prospector and AI Loyalty Manager)
- Send only to recipients you have a lawful basis to contact (CAN-SPAM, GDPR / PECR, CASL, Australian Spam Act, and equivalents).
- No purchased, scraped, rented, or otherwise non-consenting lists.
- Every message must include a working unsubscribe link, your real business name, and a valid physical postal address.
- Don't bypass the platform's per-Operator suppression list or re-add opted-out recipients.
- Don't mass-mail uploaded contacts to test deliverability — use the platform's seed-test tools instead.
- Sustained complaint rates above ~0.3% or bounce rates above ~5% may trigger throttling or account review to protect shared sending reputation.
6. SMS
- Send only to recipients who have given prior express consent. Keep proof of consent for at least 4 years.
- Register every campaign with The Campaign Registry under the actual business identity and use case.
- Honour STOP, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, and OPTOUT immediately, and support HELP keyword responses.
- SHAFT content (sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco) is prohibited unless we have approved it in writing for your specific use case.
- Use the registered brand and phone number consistently. Don't snowshoe (rotating sender IDs to avoid filtering).
7. Platform Abuse
Don't:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the platform.
- Use the APIs in a way designed to circumvent rate limits or billing.
- Resell or sublicense access to the platform without a written reseller / white-label agreement.
- Probe, scan, or test the platform's security without prior written authorisation (responsible-disclosure inquiries are welcome at admin@velogics.ai).
- Use the AI to generate output that violates §2 above (prohibited content) or that you intend to publish without human review where the output may cause regulatory, safety, or reputational harm.
8. Reporting Abuse
If you believe a Velogics Operator is violating this AUP, email admin@velogics.ai with as much detail as you can share (sender identity, message content, time, your contact info if you'd like a reply). We investigate every report and act where the AUP is breached.
9. Consequences of Violation
Depending on severity, we may: (a) contact you and ask you to remediate within a specified window; (b) throttle or temporarily suspend the affected channel (voice, SMS, email); (c) suspend the account entirely; or (d) terminate the account under §16 of the Terms. For violations that cause direct harm to End Users or trigger upstream carrier / regulator action, we may act without warning and explain after.
10. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time as new abuse patterns emerge or carrier / regulator rules change. Material changes will be communicated to Operators by email or in-product notice. The current version always lives at velogics.ai/legal/acceptable-use.
